Wachovia to price enhanced growth notes linked to index basket

Seattle, Sept. 13 - Wachovia Corp. plans to price 0% enhanced growth securities due July 5, 2011 linked to a basket of indexes, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket will include equal weights of the Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50, FTSE 100, MSCI Taiwan and Nikkei 225 indexes.

If the final basket level is greater than the initial basket level, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 125% of the basket gain, subject to a maximum return of 62.5%. Otherwise, investors will lose 0.5% for each 1% basket decline.

Wachovia Securities will be the underwriter.
