Wabash National retains adviser as it considers alternatives

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., April 28 - Wabash National Corp. announced on Tuesday that it will review strategic alternatives for maximizing shareholder value with the assistance of BB&T Capital Markets.

"We are taking the necessary steps to navigate the current economic environment, right size our operating footprint and reduce our cost structure," president and chief executive officer Dick Giromini said in a news release.

"We also believe our long-term strategic plan will position Wabash National for long-term growth and profitability," Giromini said.

During the review process, Wabash National will remain focused on running its business as efficiently as possible and executing its strategic plan, according to Giromini.

Wabash National is a Lafayette, Ind., semi trailer manufacturer.
