Fitch revises BanBif to negative

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Banco Interamericano de Finanzas SA's (BanBif) long-term foreign- and local-currency issuer default rating at BBB- and revised the outlook to negative from stable.

Fitch said the negative outlook reflects its concerns on the continued deterioration of the bank's performance and asset quality, a confluence that is resulting in further pressures on the bank's already tight capitalization levels and relatively limited loss absorbing capacity.
