VNU holders OK new call option for 6 5/8% bonds, 5½% bonds

By Jennifer Chiou

New York, June 20 - VNU NV announced that holders of its €500 million of 6 5/8% bonds due May 30, 2007 and NLG 600 million of 5½% bonds due June 16, 2008 approved the addition of a call option.

On June 19, the company said that holders of its €150 million of extendable floating-rate notes due Sept. 28, 2006 authorized the company to add a similar option allowing it to redeem the notes at par plus accrued interest.

VNU previously added that it has called a new meeting on July 4 for holders of its €600 million of 6¾% notes due Oct. 29, 2008 because no quorum was present in its June 19 meeting.

Noteholders will decide whether to OK the addition of a call option.

Based in Haarlem, the Netherlands, VNU is an information and media company.
