VMware plans to sell notes in five parts via four bookrunners

Knoxville, Tenn., July 20 – VMware, Inc. intends to price fixed-rate senior notes (Baa3/BBB-/BBB-) in five tranches, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes feature a make-whole call and then a par call.
Barclays, BofA Securities, Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC are the bookrunners.
Proceeds will be used to pay a special dividend and for general corporate purposes.
VMware is a Palo Alto, Calif., virtualization solutions provider.
