Moody’s assigns VMware notes Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 rating to VMware, Inc.'s proposed senior unsecured notes.

VMware plans to use proceeds for general corporate purposes and redemption of the $1.25 billion of senior notes due in August.

VMware's Baa2 senior unsecured rating and stable outlook are not affected, the agency said.
