Fitch ups Vivendi Universal

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded Vivendi Universal SA's senior unsecured rating to BBB from BBB-.

The outlook remains stable.

Fitch said the rating action follows Vivendi Universal's announcement of its decision to sell a 15% stake in Veolia Environnement and its improved operational performance. The sale of the Veolia stake is expected to realize €1.5 billion by means of three transactions.
