Fitch: No change for Vivendi

Fitch Ratings said that a U.S. court ruling against Vivendi SA regarding a class action lawsuit related to prior financial statements will have no immediate impact on the company's long-term issuer default rating and senior unsecured ratings of BBB.

The outlook is stable.

However, a final ruling could eventually lead to a significant potential liability, which may be negative for Vivendi's credit profile, Fitch said.

Vivendi has said it intends to appeal the ruling, the agency added.
