Moody's ups Virginia Electric, Dominion to A2

Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded the senior unsecured ratings of Virginia Electric and Power Co. and Dominion Gas Holdings LLC to A2 from A3.

In addition, the agency confirmed the Baa2 senior unsecured rating for Dominion Resources Inc.

The outlooks are stable.

Moody's said the primary driver of the rating action for Virginia Electric and Dominion Gas was its more favorable view of the relative credit supportiveness of the U.S. regulatory environment.
