VimpelCom to offer notes in the first half of 2002

St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 26 - Russian telecommunications company Vimpel-Communications (VimpelCom) announced it intends to raise debt financing by the issuance of notes in the international bond markets in an offering anticipated to close during the first half of 2002, according to a press release Monday from the company.

The financing is "subject to market conditions," according to the release. No further details were provided.

VimpelCom is a provider of telecommunications services company headquartered in Moscow.
