Banco do Brasil plans to issue 10-year dollar benchmark notes

Atlanta, May 18 - Brazil's Banco do Brasil SA (Cayman Island branch) plans to issue a benchmark-sized issue of dollar-denominated notes due January 2022 (expected rating: Baa2), a market source said.
BB Securities, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas, Banco Votorantim and JPMorgan are the bookrunners for the Rule 144A and Regulation S offering, which is expected to price Thursday.
Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
Banco do Brasil is a lender based in Brasilia, Brazil.
