Victory Park announces new vice president Truglia; three promotions

Norfolk, Va., Oct. 6 – Victory Park Capital announced that Karrie Truglia will join the team as vice president in New York City to further develop its debt capital markets activity, according to a press release.

Truglia joins the firm with more than 15 years of experience in global and domestic financial services organizations. She spent eight years with Citigroup, where she served as director of global securitized products, offering strategic, solution-oriented advice for key relationship banks, specialty finance and financial services companies. Truglia has held several other management positions at Bear Stearns & Co., Assured Guaranty and BMW Financial Services.

The firm also announced the promotion of Whitney Doerr, Philip Nanney and Zachary Nemes to vice presidents and the hiring of four new associates and two operations personnel to its Chicago office.

Doerr is responsible for origination, fundamental analysis, transaction execution and management of direct private debt and equity investments into small cap and lower middle market companies across various sectors.

Nanney is responsible for origination, fundamental analysis, transaction execution and management of direct private debt and equity investments with significant experience investing in the specialty finance sector.

Nemes is responsible for origination, fundamental analysis, transaction execution and management of direct private debt and equity investments and portfolio companies.

Additionally, Victory Park is expanding its team in Los Angeles with a relocation of vice president Geoff Mikelsons, who will join partner Jason Brown.

Chicago-based Victory Park is an asset management firm specializing in direct credit and control equity investing in middle-market and distressed companies.
