Moody’s lifts Viacom

“Moody’s Investors Service said it upgraded Viacom Inc.’s senior unsecured debt ratings to Baa2 from Baa3 and its junior subordinated debt rating to Baa3 from Ba1.

“These actions are based upon our expectations that Viacom and CBS Corporation (CBS) will complete their merger and combine into a single debt issuer,” said Moody’s in a press release.

The outlook is stable.
