S&P gives BBB to Viacom notes

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its BBB issue-level rating to Viacom Inc.'s proposed issuance of five-year and 10-year notes and 30-year senior debentures.

The ratings on Viacom reflect S&P's assessment of the Viacom's "satisfactory" business risk profile and "significant" financial risk profile, reflecting S&P's expectation of higher ongoing leverage.
