Verizon calls 4.35% notes, subsidiary's series A debentures in full

Kansas City, Kan., Nov. 8 - Verizon Communications Inc. announced plans to redeem its 4.35% notes and subsidiary Verizon Virginia LLC's 4.625% series A debentures in a news release on Thursday.

All $1 billion of the series A debentures due March 15, 2013 will be redeemed on Dec. 10.

Additionally, all $750 million of the 4.35% notes due Feb. 15, 2013 will be redeemed on Dec. 11.

The redemption prices will be equal to the sum of the present values of the remaining scheduled payments, discounted to the applicable redemption date on a semiannual basis at the Treasury Rate plus 25 basis points. The price will also include accrued interest to the applicable redemption date.
