Verizon Communications intends to conduct offering of notes

Knoxville, Tenn., May 4 – Verizon Communications Inc. plans to price an offering of notes, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are initially non-callable and then are callable at par.

BNP Paribas, Taipei Branch and Deutsche Bank AG, Taipei Branch are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including debt repayment.

Verizon is a New York City-based telecommunications company.
