Verizon talks $250 million $25-par notes due 2054 at 6%-6.125%

Atlanta, Jan. 30 - Verizon Communications Inc. set price talk of 6% to 6.125% for a $250 million offering of $25-par notes due in 2054 (expected ratings: Baa1/BBB+/A-), a trader said Thursday.

The notes will be callable in 2019 at par plus accrued interest and will pay a quarterly coupon.

BofA Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and Wells Fargo Securities LLC are the underwriters.

The notes will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

The issuer is a New York City-based telecommunications company.
