Veris Gold files $60 million shelf covering stock, debt securities

Knoxville, Tenn., Nov. 1 - Veris Gold Corp. filed a $60 million shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common shares, debt securities, subscription receipts, units and warrants for stock or debt securities.

The debt may be structured as convertibles.

The company will describe in a prospectus supplement how it plans to use the proceeds.

Based in Vancouver, B.C., Veris Gold, formerly Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp., is a gold producer.
