VeriFone announces 0.25% special interest on 1.375% convertibles

New York, Dec. 19 - VeriFone Holdings, Inc. said that beginning Thursday, special interest will accrue on its 1.375% senior convertible notes due 2012 at a rate of 0.25% per year.

The company said that the special interest will accrue on the convertible notes until a registration statement for the securities is declared effective.

VeriFone added that it expects to file a registration statement for the notes following completion of its previously announced restatement and the filing of its annual report on form 10-K for the fiscal year ended Oct. 31.

San Jose, Calif.-based VeriFone provides electronic payment services and is based in San Jose, Calif.
