DBRS confirms Veresen

DBRS said it confirmed the senior unsecured notes of Veresen Inc. at BBB (high).

The trend is stable.

The confirmation reflects the relatively stable earnings contributions from Veresen's regulated pipeline businesses, which accounted for the majority of its consolidated earnings, DBRS said.

The ratings also reflect the diversification in Veresen's other business segments, supported by long-term contracts with mostly investment-grade counterparts, the agency said.

The company's also has a strong overall financial profile, DBRS added.
