S&P: Veolia Environnement view to stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook to stable from negative on Veolia Environnement SA, and affirmed its BBB+ long-term and A-2 short-term corporate credit ratings.

The outlook revision reflects the company's greater deleveraging in 2009 than expected, S&P said, and the resulting slight improvement in its credit measures, despite some pressures on its earnings.

The company also has confirmed its shift to a more conservative financial strategy, the agency said.
