S&P rates Veolia Environnement notes BB+

S&P said it rated Veolia Environnement SA’s planned €500 million of junior subordinated perpetual hybrid security BB+.

The rating is based on Veolia’s BBB rating. S&P said it deducts a notch for subordination and another for the flexibility to optionally defer interest.
