Ventas files automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., April 6 - Ventas, Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an F-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers preferred stock, depositary shares, common stock, warrants and debt securities, along with debt securities to be offered by the group's subsidiaries and guaranteed by the parent.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Ventas is a Chicago-based health care real estate investment trust.
