Fitch rates Ventas Canada notes BBB+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB+ rating to the senior unsecured notes being issued by Ventas Canada Finance Ltd. and guaranteed by its parent Ventas, Inc., rated BBB+.

Fitch expects the proceeds to be used to refinance other Canadian-dollar denominated debt and fund recent acquisitions.

The outlook is negative.
