Vattenfall moves to redeem capital securities at first opportunity

Chicago, Feb. 11 – Sweden’s Vattenfall AB is calling two series of subordinated capital securities for redemption in March, according to multiple notices.

The company is redeeming its SEK 1,186,200,000 outstanding subordinated floating-rate seven-year non-call capital securities (ISIN: XS1205625251) at par plus any deferred interest and any outstanding interest to the redemption date, March 29. The series was originally sized at SEK 3 billion.

Additionally, Vattenfall is redeeming the SEK 1,872,480,000 outstanding subordinated fixed-rate seven-year non-call capital securities (ISIN: XS1205627547) on the first reset date, March 19. The company will pay par plus any deferred interest and any unpaid interest to the redemption date. Initially, there were SEK 3 billion of the securities.

Vattenfall is a state-owned energy company based in Stockholm.
