RBC plans trigger performance notes linked to Vanguard FTSE EM fund

Chicago, June 4 – Royal Bank of Canada plans to price 0% trigger performance securities due June 29, 2018 linked to the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 105% to 115% of any fund gain. The exact participation rate will be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the fund funds by up 25% and will be fully exposed to any losses if the fund finishes below the 75% trigger level.
RBC Capital Markets, LLC and UBS Financial Services Inc. are the agents.
The notes will price on June 25 and settle on June 30.
The Cusip number is 78013D235.
