Barclays plans airbag performance securities tied to Vanguard FTSE EM

Madison, Wis., May 30 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% airbag performance securities due June 12, 2020 linked to the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 118% to 128% of any fund gain, with the exact participation rate to be set at pricing.

If the fund return is zero or negative but not less than negative 25%, the payout will be par.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1.3333% for every 1% decline beyond 25%.

UBS Financial Services Inc. and Barclays are the agents.

The notes will price on June 6 and settle on June 11.

The Cusip number is 06742W505.
