S&P affirms Validus Holdings
Standard & Poor’s said it affirmed its BBB+ long-term counterparty credit rating on Validus Holdings Ltd.
S&P also affirmed the A financial strength rating on Validus Reinsurance Ltd. and the A- financial strength and counterparty credit ratings on Validus Reinsurance (Switzerland) Ltd.
The outlook is stable.
S&P said the affirmation on Validus reflects improvements in the company’s enterprise risk management (ERM) offsetting the risks from heightened competition in the property catastrophe market.
