USG receives extension to file Chapter 11 plan

Houston, Jan. 25 -USG Corp. received an extension to its exclusive periods to file a Chapter 11 plan from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Jan. 24.

The court said the company's exclusive filing period is extended to June 30, 2005 and its exclusive solicitation period is extended to Aug. 31, 2005.

The Chicago-based building materials company filed for bankruptcy on June 25, 2001. Its Chapter 11 case number is 01-02094.
