S&P lifts American Airlines

Standard & Poor’s said it raised the ratings on American Airlines Group Inc. and its subsidiaries, American Airlines Inc. and US Airways Inc., including their corporate credit ratings to B+ from B.

The outlook is positive.

S&P said it expects continued growth in the company’s earnings and cash flow, which should result in improved credit measures despite heavy capital spending and a share repurchase program.
