US Airways posts $33.56 million operating income for July

Washington, Aug. 26 - US Airways Group Inc. reported $33.56 million in operating income for July on sales of $678.29 million, according to its monthly operating report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
In June, the company posted a $44.95 million operating income on sales of $677.85 million.
The net income for July was $2.34 million compared to $8.58 million net income in June.
Cash and cash equivalents on July 31 were $489.65 million, compared to $556.62 million at the end of June.
The Arlington, Va.-based airline filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 12, 2004. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-13819.
