U.S. Airways revises January results to $227.5 million loss from $720 million gain

Washington, May 10 - U.S. Airways Inc. revised its January results to a $227.5 million net loss from the $720 million gain previously reported to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division.

The earlier reported profit was buoyed by an $878 million reorganization gain that does not show up in the latest calculations

January revenue is unchanged at $478.4 million. Cash and cash equivalents at the end of the month remains computed at $543 million from $738 million a month earlier.

The Arlington, Va.-based carrier filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 12. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-13819.
