US Airways posts $182 million operating loss for three months ended March 31

Pittsburgh, April 29 - US Airways Group, Inc. posted a $182 million operating loss for the three months ended March 31, according to a company news release.

The loss was an increase from the $146 million loss reported in the first three months of 2004.

Total revenues for the last quarter were $1.62 million compared to $1.68 million in the same period in 2004.

The net loss was $191 million, up from the $177 million net loss in the year-ago period.

Arlington, Va.-based US Airways filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 12, 2004 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-13819.
