S&P: US Airways, AMR unchanged

Standard & Poor's said its ratings and outlook on US Airways Group Inc. and AMR Corp. are not changed by US Airways' 8-K filing disclosing that it has signed agreements with American Airlines Inc.'s three main unions.

According to S&P, the agreement would govern collective bargaining agreements if the airlines were to merge.

Additionally, according to S&P, US Airways has unsuccessfully attempted to merge with other airlines in the past and has yet to combine its labor unions from its merger with America West Airlines in 2005. Therefore, S&P said it believes adding a third group of employees to any combined entity would likely be problematic.
