S&P rates USAA Capital notes AA+

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its AA+ senior debt rating to USAA Capital Corp.'s recent $350 million senior debt issue.

The ratings on USAA and its core operating companies reflect the group's "very strong business risk profile and extremely strong financial risk profile, based on its extremely strong competitive position, well-recognized franchise and dominant market presence among members of the U.S. military and their families, and extremely strong capital and earnings," the agency said in a news release.
