Unum investor sells more than 1.15 million shares, keeps 4.95% stake

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 24 - Investors led by Relational Investors, LLC sold 1,155,854 shares of Unum Group between July 1 and Aug. 21 priced from $16.02 to $21.95 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

Following the sales, Relational Investors beneficially owns 16,360,063 shares, or 4.95%, of the Chattanooga, Tenn., insurance products company's outstanding stock.
