Relational Investors up stake in Unum to 8.55%

Charlotte, N.C., May 30 - Unum Group investors led by Relational Investors, LLC purchased 3,661,300 shares of the company's stock between April 2 and May 29, priced from $23.38 to $25.98.

The reporting persons beneficially own 29,323,626 shares, or 8.55%, of the Chattanooga, Tenn., insurance products company's outstanding stock.
