University System of Maryland to price $159.93 million of refunding bonds Thursday

New York, Sept. 30 - The University System of Maryland is expected to sell $159.925 million of series 2011 refunding bonds on Thursday, according to a preliminary official statement.

The offering includes $115 million of series 2011A bonds and $44.925 million of series 2011B bonds.

The bonds (Aa1/AA+/AA+) will be sold competitively with Public Financial Management Inc. as the financial adviser.

The 2011A bonds are due 2012 to 2031, and the 2011B bonds are due 2014 to 2024.

Proceeds will be used to refund the system's series 2002A, 2003A, 2004A and 2005A revenue bonds.
