University of North Carolina defeases $298.48 million of 2007 bonds

Columbus, Ohio, March 1 – The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill defeased $298,475,000 of series 2007 general revenue bonds, according to a notice.

The following bonds will be redeemed Dec. 1, 2017 at par plus accrued interest through the redemption date:

• $7.75 million of 4.45% bonds due 2022;

• $9,075,000 of 4.5% bonds due 2023;

• $9,455,000 of 4.55% bonds due 2024;

• $9.87 million of 4.6% bonds due 2025;

• $21.64 million of 4.65% bonds due 2026;

• $21,715,000 of 5% bonds due 2027;

• $24,585,000 of 4.5% bonds due 2028;

• $81,455,000 of 5% bonds due 2031; and

• $111.93 million of 5% bonds due 2036.
