United Retail sees $141,000 of operating income for June, zero sales

Pittsburgh, July 16 - United Retail Group, Inc. reported $141,000 of operating income for June on zero revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, the company posted a $566,000 operating loss for May, also on zero revenues.

The company had cash and cash equivalents of $2.24 million at June 30, down from $2.7 million at May 31.

United Retail is a Rochelle Park, N.J., specialty retailer of large-size women's fashion apparel, footwear and accessories. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 1. The Chapter 11 case number is 12-10405.
