United Retail sees $337,000 April operating loss; sales $10.76 million

Pittsburgh, May 16 - United Retail Group, Inc. reported a $337,000 operating loss for April on $10.76 million in total revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The April loss from continuing operations was $99.17 million.

The company had $4.19 million in cash and cash equivalents as of April 30.

United Retail is a Rochelle Park, N.J., specialty retailer of large-size women's fashion apparel, footwear and accessories. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 1. The Chapter 11 case number is 12-10405.
