United Retail Group official unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, Feb. 9 - U.S. Trustee Tracy Hope Davis has appointed the official committee of unsecured creditors for United Retail Group, Inc., according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The committee members include Kevin Ritter of the CIT Group/Commercial Services, Inc. of New York; Stephen Aronson of Garmex International Corp. of New York; Steven Klien of Jeffrey Craig Ltd. of New York; Raymond Edwards of Kimco Realty Corp. of New Hyde Park, N.Y.; Allan Spielman of Rosenthal & Rosenthal, Inc. of New York; Vijay Samtani of Tanzara International of New York; and Willy W. Wu of Valentine USA Inc. of New York.

United Retail, a Rochelle Park, N.J., specialty retailer of large-size women's fashion apparel, footwear and accessories, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 1. The Chapter 11 case number is 12-10405.
