United Overseas calls $500 million 2 7/8% subordinated notes due 2022

Chicago, Sept. 29 – United Overseas Bank Ltd. issued a notice to redeem its $500 million of 2 7/8% subordinated notes due 2022.

The notes will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest to but excluding the redemption date of Oct. 17, which is also the first call date, according to a notice.

Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee.

The notes were issued Oct. 17, 2012 under the company’s S$15 billion euro medium-term note program.

The retail bank is based in Singapore.
