HSBC plans buffered PLUS due 2015 linked to Delta, United Continental

Chicago, Oct. 21 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Nov. 30, 2015 linked to a basket of two equally weighted stocks, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The underlying companies are Delta Air Lines, Inc. and United Continental Holdings, Inc.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any basket gain, up to a maximum return of 23.5%.

Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for each 1% drop beyond 10%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management as the distributor.

The notes will price on Oct. 24 and settle on Oct. 29.

The Cusip number is 40434D327.
