UAL confirmation hearing to start Jan. 18

New York, Sept. 26 - UAL Corp.'s confirmation hearing for its plan of reorganization is scheduled to start on Jan. 18, 2006, according to a scheduling order filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

The order also sets aside Jan. 19 and Jan. 20 for the hearing.

Previously Oct. 20 was set for a hearing to approve the disclosure statement.

The Chicago-based parent of United Airlines filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 9, 2002. Its Chapter 11 case number is 02-48191.
