United Airlines plans to hire Bridge Associates to review business plan
New York, Oct. 22 - United Air Lines Inc. said it plans to hire Bridge Associates to conduct an independent analysis of its business plan.
The Chicago-based airline said it has asked the bankruptcy court for approval of the proposal.
Bridge was selected in consultation with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and the Association of Flight Attendants.
United noted that while it has developed its business plan in consultation with its key stakeholders, including the working groups of the creditors committee, "all parties believed that an independent evaluation of the plan would be productive."
Bridge will produce a confidential report in about 30 days. The company has agreed not to have any other involvement in United's bankruptcy case, the airline said.
United filed for Chapter 11 on Dec. 9, 2002 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Its case number is 02-48191.
