UAL gets extension to exclusivity periods

By Jeff Pines

Washington, April 19 - UAL, Inc., the parent to United Airlines, got an extension to its exclusivity periods, according to an April 16 order from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.

UAL's period to file a plan will now end on June 30 and it will have until Aug. 30 to solicit acceptances.

It requested the extension in a Feb. 6 filing. UAL had previously asked for two extensions.

UAL filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 9, 2002. The case number is 02-48191.
