Provident Bank buys $6.9 million claim against UAL from Bank of New York

Washington, Jan. 13 - Cincinnati-based Provident Bank acquired from the Bank of New York an unsecured $6.86 million claim against UAL on Thursday, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

The parent of Chicago-based United Air Lines said it has recently obtained $2 billion in exit financing.
