uniQure announces plans to price initial public offering of its stock

Jefferies and Leerink Swann are the bookrunners; Piper Jaffray assists

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 2 - uniQure BV will conduct an initial public offering of its ordinary stock with a 30-day greenshoe, according to a Form F-1 filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Jefferies and Leerink Swann are the joint bookrunning managers. Piper Jaffray & Co. is the co-manager.

Proceeds will be used to build and equip the company's manufacturing facility in Lexington, Mass., for clinical development of Glybera and other products, for clinical trials, for working capital and for general corporate purposes, including debt repayment and potential acquisitions.

The Amsterdam company develops gene therapy products. The company intends to list its common stock on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the symbol "QURE."
