Thales ups stake in Ultratech to 17.12%

Charlotte, N.C., July 17 - Ultratech, Inc. investors led by Thales Fund Management, LLC and Temujin Fund Management, LLC purchased 301,686 shares of the company's stock between May 29 and June 22, priced from $12.87 to $13.24 each, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The reporting persons beneficially own 3,976,751 shares, or 17.12%, of the San Jose, Calif.-based manufacturer of photolithography and laser thermal processing equipment.

On March 13, Thales reported owning 3,370,614 shares, or 14.5%, of the company.
